The Hoosier Kiteflier’s Society has received an invitation from Illinois kiter Dave Mies to participate in an Earth Day kite fly. The event is Saturday, April 22, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. CDT at Meadowbrook Park, 2808 S Race St, Urbana, Illinois.
Dave indicated that the event is primarily for kids and that local organizations will give away 150 kites. Other kiters are, however, encouraged to bring their own kites to fly.
